About me:

Nick Haddock has been Headmaster of St John’s School, Leatherhead since September 2004. After studying Geography at Oxford University he was commissioned as an officer in the Royal Green Jackets. In 1998, he was awarded the MBE for work involved in planning military operations worldwide, after which he left the Army to pursue a career in teaching. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and has a lifelong interest in exploration, mountaineering and wilderness places, more recently he was Deputy Leader of an expedition with young people to Patagonian Chile and South Georgia, where he achieved some first ascents. He has developed a passion for introducing young people to environments where their strengths and gifts can be nurtured whilst learning about the world they live in.
