I have been involved in education for as long as I can remember. Having worked through my GCSEs, A levels and degree I worked in an outdoor education centre for several years before training and practicing as a secondary science teacher in the south east of England. This allowed me to take an expedition away to Madagascar with a group of young students from Tonbridge - amazing. I was sold and have spent the last 11 years working in the youth expedition sector with some wonderful people. As the director of the sales and marketing department most of my life is spent planning how we can look after our existing customers as well as plan as to how we can work with new customers. I have been very fortunate at Outlook Expeditions and have seen the company blossom into a position where we are now offering expeditions to over 250 schools in the UK and in fact working with some of the highest achieving schools in the land. All of these schools have passionate teachers which is probably the reason why I enjoy it so much! I have a lovely daughter, a mountain bike (or seven) and an MBA to keep me working hard when I am not focused on the business.
