40 years of experience in the in the outdoors as a mountaineer, teacher, expedition organiser and leader together with a back ground in administration with the MLTE and company management with Adventureworks has lead me to my current position. My first expedition as a student teacher was to Iceland in 1974 and since then I have climbed in over 40 countries exploring new areas and making many first ascents. I began organising expeditions for the schools and colleges I worked in the mid-eighties. From 2001 to 2011 I was the Manager of Adventureworks developing their expedition programmes.
Quality and Safety are at the heart of all expedition planning and delivery whether it be to the Summit of Everest or a D of E Trek in Wales. As Operations Director of Outlook I oversee the quality of the expedition programme delivery and ensure that a robust risk management system is in place to ensure that participants have a challenging but safe experience.
When not in the office I'm out climbing, cycling and skiing with my family and looking forward to planning my next challenges in the mountains.
