Judging the photograph competition is one of the hardest things I've been asked to do! The standard of entries simply took my breath away. What makes it so difficult is that it is so hard to compare beautiful landscapes to happy participants, wildlife shots and photographs with outstanding colour and composition.
From the many entries we created a shortlist which you can now see on the website, here. We chose the winners because they summed up everything that stood out in the many different entries: artistic, colourful, emotional, exciting and fun!
All participants and 2009 link teachers should have received a factsheet by email detailing a little bit more about what we loved about certain photographs and how we came to our decision.
