Some of you may be aware of an incident which took place in Marrakech last Thursday. We appreciate that this may cause concern amongst our teams who are travelling to Morocco on expedition this summer.
Please be assured that the safety and wellbeing of our expedition participants when in-country is paramount. Using the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel advice, we constantly assess our expedition destinations and are immediately aware the moment there are changes to the travel advice for any of our destinations. Following the incident in Marrakech last Thursday the FCO have not placed any travel restrictions on Morocco. If for any reason the FCO advises against travel to Morocco between now and the expedition departure date, we will take the necessary steps to divert our expedition teams to an alternative destination.
It is important to us that you feel that you are up to date and informed regarding the situation in Morocco prior to and during the expedition. I recommend that you set the Morocco FCO advice as your homepage; this will enable you to keep abreast of any changes if and when they occur.
If there are any significant changes to the travel advice for Morocco we will keep you informed. In the meantime, if you have any further queries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
