The big move - part 3

Posted on 13 / 11 / 2009

Last weekend (7th-8th Nov) most of Outlook's staff, including the Overseas Expeditions Team, Sales and Marketing Team, Finance Team and directors, packed their bags and relocated to new offices in Parc Menai, Bangor.

It was almost miraculous that we managed it in one weekend; but as you'd expect from an expedition company, all the planning paid off and the move went as smoothly as a move can (that isn't to say that there weren't a few dramas over desks!).

We loved being at the ODC and were really sad to leave it and our perfect view of Snowdon, but we were literally bursting at the seams and the move was inevitable. You know its time to move when cows in the car park are a regular occurrence!

We've had a really successful year which is brilliant and has meant that we've been able to employ more staff to ensure that our expeditions are the best that they can possibly be. The new offices are lovely and spacious and make for a much nicer working environment for everyone. Plenty of room to swing cats and spread maps and such like!

We've always been proud of the fact that we're the only youth expedition provider in the UK to be truly based in the mountains. Well, we've only moved 10 minutes down the road from the ODC so we're still very much mountain based. The only difference is we now have the Menai Straits right on our doorstep too. The best of both worlds; water and mountains! We don't want you to think we're getting too big and that there won't be a welcome for you at Head Office; drop by any time; we'd love to show you around. And by the way, just because we have shiny new offices, this doesn't mean we'll be donning stuffy suits anytime soon!

A week in and we're starting to feel settled...below are a couple of Outlook staff members working away in their new offices.
