This month, Ed Balls, the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families announced the first 65 organisations to be awarded a Quality Badge for the provision of learning outside the classroom experiences.
The Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge was launched on 2 October, 2008 and provides a national accreditation for all types of “Outside the Classroom” experiences enabling teachers to easily recognise those providers who deliver high standards of learning within a framework of well managed safety precautions.
