Whippet Will!

Posted on 23 / 09 / 2009

Whilst most Outlook staff were hiding from the horrific weather conditions and debating the necessity to build an Ark to survive the ever increasing precipitation in the Welsh mountains, our very own deputy director and intrepid fell runner Will Manners was laughing in the face of adversity and racing up (and back down)  Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain.

Despite 50ft visibility and -3° wind chill at the summit combined with slippery scree and knee deep mud, Will finished in an incredible 1.50.52  placing him 30th out of 464 finishers. (6th Vet and 7th Scotland based)

As a top ten Scottish finisher, Will has firmly stamped his mark on the British Fell running scene and may well be selected for the Scottish Squad.

 Well done Will!
