Q. What support do you offer for fundraising?
A. On the member's area of our website you'll find loads of fundraising literature, ranging from getting started guides for parents and participants, to sponsorship forms, a press pack and an A-Z guide that has every fundraising idea ever conceived!
Q. What happens if I want to cancel?
A. If you wish to withdraw from the expedition group, you will need to advise us in writing. You may be entitled to a partial refund, dependant upon how early in the expedition programme you cancel. Please refer to our booking terms & conditions for further information.
Q. What if I want to join an existing team in my school?
A. We can usually add additional participants to the expedition team after the programme has commenced, dependant on how far into the programme the expedition group is. Please contact your Expedition Programme Coordinator if you wish to join an existing team.
Q. I have a medical condition - can I still go on exped? Can I take my own medication?
A. A medical Condition is no reason to miss out on the expedition opportunity! All we ask is that you notify us and the insurance company so that it can be adequately risk assessed and insured. Participants can carry their own medication on expedition but they need to make the expedition leader aware.
Q. What insurance cover do you provide?
A. Full details of the insurance cover provided will be included in the welcome pack which will be sent to all participants once the deposit is received.
Q. How are Outlook clients protected in the event of bankruptcy?
A. Outlook Expeditions are protected by the ATOL (Air Travel Organisers Licence) protection scheme. ATOL protects you from losing money or being stranded abroad if the tour operator goes out of business.
Q. How do I pay for the expedition?
A. We can accept payment by cheque, credit / debit card*, bank transfer or by standing order.
Q. How do I join my school or colleges' expedition?
A. We will require a completed application form and the relevant deposit. Full details will have been given out at the parents evening, along with the application form. If you need a copy of these, please contact our office.
Q. Will my son/daughter be safe on expedition?
A. Safety of our expedition participants is paramount. Each group will be accompanied by at least one of Outlook's experienced and suitably qualified expedition leaders and at least one teacher from their school or college. All activities whilst on expedition are thoroughly risk assessed and unacceptable risks will not be taken.
