Outlook's Support Team
It is not just the participants, Link Teacher and Leader which make up the expedition team, Outlook is with you all of the way! A great deal of work behind the scenes goes on to provide a high level of support should you need it.
The Expedition Programme Team
A dedicated member of the Expedition Programme Team will guide you, your parents and your Link Teacher through their training programme once the expedition group has been formed.
The Expedition Planning Team
All of our destinations receive a recce (reconnaissance) visit by an experienced member of our Expedition Planning team prior to expeditions visiting them. This is an integral part of expedition risk management.
The Ops Room
During the expedition period Outlook operates a 24 hour Operations Room in the UK. The Operations Room acts as an information hub for expedition teams and leaders, monitors the progress of the expedition group and ensures rapid and appropriate action in the case of an emergency. The Operations Room is run by members of Outlook’s full-time staff. All operations room staff are comprehensively trained in incident management.
In Country Contacts
Outlook has a network of in country contacts and agents, who provide routine ground handling and cultural advice and support, in addition to local knowledge and access to specialist support in an emergency situation.
Remote Medical Support
Remote Medical Support specialises in providing medical advice to groups in remote locations via the phone and internet. It supplies Outlook with access to a 24 hour helpline where a team of handpicked medical specialists are ready to advise 365 days a year whenever the Operations Room or expedition team need their support.
