Adventure

Combining the excitement of a physical challenge with the exploration of inspiring environments, an adventure objective enables participants to test their limits while tackling thrilling adventurous activities.

Most groups complete some kind of a trek as part of their expedition. The trek element is a journey in more ways than one, developing individual leadership, teamwork, confidence and self sufficiency. Some groups focus on completing a really physically challenging trek such as summiting Kilimanjaro, Cotopaxi or Mount Kenya or journeying across the arctic in Alaska. Whilst others prefer routes that take them through villages, ancient historic sites, plains famous for wildlife or dense jungle. Groups may even elect to trek in a way other than by foot such as camel, on horseback, camel, by bike or kayak. Expedition Teams could also choose to learn technical skills such as glacier walking and rock or ice climbing; they could even gain their PADI diving qualification.
