Why Outlook Expeditions?

A decade of discovery Outlook provide life changing opportunities that help realise the true potential of young people, giving them a head start in their development into mature, confident and capable adults.  We firmly believe in the importance of delivering quality and maintaining an ethical stance, incorporating this into the way we treat our clients, staff, overseas partners and environment. Our pride in this has been the inspiration in creating our Ethical Charter.

All Our Expeditions are Tailor-Made

A decade of youth expeditioning has taught us that every school has unique requirements and one size will never fit all. Other providers slot their schools into programmes, offering them standard, fixed itineraries. Our Tailor-Made expeditions offer boundless flexibility, inclusivity, choice and scope.

The tailor-making process can begin as early as your first meeting with Outlook at your school. A member of the Outlook team will talk you through your options, listen to your ideas, help you decide upon your expedition destination and objective(s) and recommend a duration which will enable you to achieve it all. We'll also advise you as to the best build-up programme to ensure that both you and your team receive the right amount of training.

Leading the Way with Leaders!

Every expedition team is accompanied by a Leader Team.  Our Leader Teams are made up of a qualified Outlook Expedition Leader and a Link Teacher offering a combination of technical and pastoral care. They are put in place to facilitate the development of the team and to guide them along the way, allowing them to make their own decisions whilst maintaining safety at all times.  We assess all our leaders through a rigorous process delivered with support from Plas y Brenin, they are placed early and work with their teams at Expedition Training, allowing them to build strong relationships with the team and discover strengths and weaknesses prior to departing overseas.  Our Expedition Programme Co-ordinators offer the utmost support to our Link Teachers in ensuring they have only one point of contact between Outlook and the school and as much of the organisational work as possible is removed.
