Adventure Travel

Trek in the impressive granite massif of the Mulanje Massif using trails which climb to 3000m above the African plains. Observe the variety of animals in the forest and on the mountain plateau and take in the stunning views. Take a ‘bracing’ dip in the crystal clear waters below one of the waterfalls

Community and Culture

Malawians are a curious people. To a Western mindset, this might be interpreted as unnecessarily staring at you or talking about you in front of you. Be prepared to be greeted by children yelling mzungu, mzungu! You’ll probably have to answer lots of questions about yourself. Even relatively mundane items like mechanical pencils can draw a crowd of onlookers.

Environment and Wildlife

Your itinerary may include the chance to visit a reserve and learn about its environment and surrounding people. You’ll acquire game scouting skills - especially tracking. Help with conservation work such as trail building and maintenance or help on conservation education programmes with local schools.
