The Opportunity
This opportunity is open to any teachers who are dedicated to the progress of their students and are inspired by the chance to positively change their pupil’s lives in a way they will never forget. Perhaps you enjoy or would like to experience overseas travel? You like the idea of outdoor activities and are ready to try something new or are up for a challenge?
Please download the 'Your Journey Starts Here' flyer for a brief introduction to what is involved in our expedition programmes and the benefits of being an Outlook Link Teacher.
Is this for you?
Being involved in an expedition programme is an incredibly rewarding experience both personally and professionally. Your constant support and commitment to the programme is essential and taking part requires not only energy, enthusiasm and a sense of humour, but also the willingness to experience new cultures, unfamiliar surroundings and new situations. If you are not wholeheartedly excited by the concept of an expedition - or if you are looking to go on a holiday - you need not read any further!
The Link Teacher’s role
The Link Teacher is an indispensable member of the expedition team. You can be assured of the complete support of Outlook Expeditions in every way possible. The role of the Link Teacher is:
- To act as a point of contact between Outlook and the students
- Encourage the group through the fundraising and build up programme

The Welcome to the World of Outlook Expeditions brochure will help Link Teachers and schools choose their expedition. It details the Longer and Shorter expedition programmes, explains the role of the Link Teacher and the Expedition Leader and outlines Outlook’s experience and extensive safety and support network. It also contains detailed information about the destinations we visit and advice on how to choose and tailor make your expedition. Our brochure is so jam packed full of fantastic expedition pictures that the file size is too big to download in one go. We didn't want you sat at your computer for hours waiting for it to download so we've split it in two. For the full brochure, make sure you download the Destination Matrix as well as the Welcome to the World of Outlook Expeditions Brochure. The Expedition Brochure will help participants and their parents when deciding whether or not to sign up to go on expedition and includes the application form and booking terms and conditions. You can also download it in Welsh.
