Expedition ratings

No two destinations are the same, in order to help Link Teacher’s choose their destination and for participants and parents to gauge what the expedition will be like - we have produced a ranking system for each ‘expedition opportunity’.  Follow the links below or use the drop down menu on the left to find out more and for a guide to the symbols we use in our brochure and destination briefs.

Physical rating

Some expeditions are more physically demanding than others – so our ‘Physical Rating’ helps you choose an expedition which will not only be achievable but will give the group the best possible experience.

Culture shock rating

Our culture shock rating gives you an indication of how different expedition life will be from everyday life in the UK.  Participants will be prepared for what to expect when they go on expedition as part of their training programme.

Advice on what these ratings mean

Outlook will advise potential Link Teachers on what would be suitable destinations and opportunities to offer bearing in mind the age group and what you want the team to get out of their expedition.
