Outlook's support team

It is not just the participants, Link Teacher and Leader which makes up the expedition team, Outlook is with you all of the way! A great deal of work behind the scenes goes on to provide a high level of support should you need it.

The Expedition Programme Team

A dedicated member of the Expedition Programme Team will guide the participants and Link Teacher through their training programme once the expedition group has been formed.

The Expedition Planning Team

All of our destinations receive a recce (reconnaissance) visit by an experienced member of our Expedition Logistics team prior to expeditions visiting them. This is an integral part of expedition risk management.

The Ops Room

During the expedition period Outlook operates a 24 hours operations room in the UK. The operations room acts as an information hub for expedition groups, parents and schools and is on hand to give advice, monitor the progress of the expedition group, and ensure rapid and appropriate action in the case of an emergency. The operations room is run by members of Outlook’s full time staff who are fully supported by Docleaf. All operations room staff are comprehensively trained in incident management.

In Country Contacts

Outlook has a network of in-country contacts and agents, who provide routine ground-handling and cultural advice and support, in addition to local knowledge and access to specialist support in an emergency situation.

Docleaf

Docleaf is a specialist emergency planning and crisis management company; its support empowers organisations to manage unexpected incidents properly, precisely and effectively. It is on standby to step in should a major incident happen on any of Outlook’s expeditions.

Remote Medical Support

Remote Medical Support specialises in providing medical advice to groups in remote locations via the phone and internet. It supplies Outlook with access to a 24 hour helpline where a team of handpicked medical specialists are ready to advise 365 days a year whenever the Operations Room or expedition team need their support.
