As we retain some of the industry's finest Expedition Leaders, we are proud to extend the knowledge and expertise of the Outlook family through our Regional Associate scheme.
Our Regional Associates provide Outlook with an ever growing local presence, meaning there is always an experienced member of staff close by to offer support when our teams need it. With a broad base of current specialist experience and skills, our Regional Associates support and represent Outlook in the regional delivery and development of our expeditions and are integral to the further development of our high quality service.
Generally, our Regional Associates are on hand to represent Outlook across all aspects of the business.
As a part-time role, it can be extremely varied and no two days are likely to be the same. One day you may be requested to facilitate and deliver assembly presentations or development days and on another to support home comings, fundraising events, first-time leaders or Leader Team training events. You could also be requested to deliver a range of CPD events and support our expedition planners in their destination management function.
It's important for us to know that we have the right people with the right experience and skills to represent Outlook regionally. As one of our associates, you'll need to have all the knowledge and qualifications of an experienced Expedition Leader, accompanied by experience of training delivery, team development (theory and practice), experience of presenting to groups and good, practical experience of problem-solving.
We invite those who want to be considered as an associate to submit a CV and covering letter defining what they can bring to the role. We will then ask those who are short-listed to prepare and deliver a short presentation before we make our final decision.
If successful, then we will provide training and offer a minimum of 20 days work per year.
We offer a competitive package that reflects the associates' value and status for Outlook. For further information please contact Michelle Tremlin.
Ian runs his own outdoor trekking company in the UK and has worked in India, Australia and the USA. He is an expert climber, International Mountain Leader, First Aid Provider, and holds a degree in Education.
He joined the team as an Expedition Leader in 2010 as our approach to expeditions fitted really well with his own philosophy about outdoor education. He has since taken Outlook teams to Morocco, Jordan, Iceland and Slovakia and is currently looking forward to taking teams to Iceland, Mont Blanc and Morocco later in the year.
Ian became a Regional Associate in 2012 and is located in the North-West, and often finds himself delivering events as far afield as Scotland. Since working for Outlook, he has really got to know all the staff and enjoys being part of the Outlook family.
