Your Expedition Leader is the beating heart of your expedition. We understand how important it is for Link Teachers and Leaders to have good relationships and for a school to have the utmost trust in their leader’s abilities, development of both technical and in facilitating development in your students.
Our Leaders work with their team at the Expedition Training Weekend. We believe they should see their team outside of their comfort zone before departing, so they understand how individuals may react under pressure; helping to keep them safe at all times and shape their experience so they can get the most out of it.
We treat our leaders as members of the team and know each and every one individually. Many leaders work for us year after year and we offer an industry leading reward package which helps us to attract and retain the very best.
We know that one expedition doesn’t fit all, so each itinerary is tailored with considerable input from the Link Teacher and the student team.
We want to help you to create an expedition that meets your team’s aspirations - whether that’s adding a few extra days to fit in another destination highlight or substituting a trek for a second project or vice-versa.
Student development is at the core of our expeditions and we will encourage every member of the team to get involved throughout the planning process. During our Itinerary Development Meeting, each team will be asked to take ownership of their itinerary, allowing them to finalise it from the options available with guidance from one of our destination experts.
Over the years we have put a lot into sourcing the best, most worthwhile projects for our schools in all of our destinations. We are very proud of every single one and the people we work with on them.We will only work with a project that we believe will make a real difference and our Expedition Planners will always ensure that the project genuinely benefits, and will continue to benefit, the community we are working with.
